The Mystery and Making of Luck

Simply Sacred
I have always been fascinated by the mystery and making of luck.  Friday the 13th is the perfect day for snubbing misfortune and spinning favor!

That interest in the mystery and making of luck comes from the same place in me that wants to dress up as a Gypsy, Witch, or Faerie every year at Halloween…..from my playful, creative spirit.  It’s the same part that struggled with letting go of dress-up and make-believe so much that I pursued theatre all the way through college.  (Now I have a lifetime pass to live the play!)

Master of Play Certificate(Grab your own Master of Play certificate at the bottom of the page,
along with a coordinating journaling prompt.)

Pair my love of play with my belief that we have some hand in creating this life we are living…or at least framing what we are given with an AWE-some frame….and I am left toying with the mystery and making of LUCK.

Secrets to the Mystery and Making of Luck

  • Play the part of the Lucky One.  Play is so powerful, it often leads to reality.  We play the student and often become the expert!
  • Invite Luck into your life….and then look for it to appear.  In life, we get more of what we energize.  Attention is a great way to give energy to something.  So looking for Luck to show up is the best way to discover how Lucky you really are.
  • Create a Lucky Charm!  From an artist’s perspective, that could be anything from a trinket to a painting, a little bowl with gratitude statements tucked away in it.  These kinds of objects may not magnetize Luck to you in the Hollywood magical way we think of in the movies, but consider that they are outward reminders of an inward intention. And intention drives action.

    Good Luck Essential Oil Blend

My Good Luck Essential Oil Blend is a great kind of Lucky Charm.  It reminds us with one of our most powerful senses to let Luck come our way.  And even more than that, the oils I have chosen create shifts in our mood so that we can be in the optimal space for noticing the Luck that is always around us!

Add 6 drops of Wild Orange essential oil,
3 drops of Roman Chamomile essential oil,
2 drops of Patchouli essential oil to a 5 or 10 ml rollerball.
Top off with fractionated coconut oil.

Choosing an oil:  I use therapeutic grade essential oils that are held to rigorous testing standards. They are potent, effective, and pure. To visit about more about CreativeLiving with essential oils, contact me at rae@creativitytribe.com

How to Use the Good Luck Essential Oil Blend

This Good Luck Blend can be worn topically by placing it on your wrists (imagine yourself grabbing up gobs of Luck as you do.)  Dab a bit on the back of your neck, at the base of your skull (envision that it turns on your mind to search for the Luck in your life.)  Finally, wear it in the little soft spot where the front of your neck meets the top of your chest.  I call this my oil altar.  Anytime I want to benefit from the aromatic properties of an oil, I place it there.  It is perfectly nestled in line with my nose.

Wear Oils for aromatic benefit

One last thought about using Good Luck Essential Oil Blend.  When you wear it, you become a human diffuser.  Every time someone comes near, you are spreading the good vibes.  Every time you give a hug, you are passing on the Luck.  Have fun!

September in Review

Well, I have to say, this September has been a rollercoaster.  Extreme highs and challenging quick turns in my journey.  This is the month I shared with everyone that I have uterine cancer (which is very treatable so don’t get too worried).  As an update to that, I am feeling pretty good physically and very strong emotionally. That post got more views than any post I have ever written….and so many lovely comments.  I am still flying with all the well wishing.  Fly Low ct

September was also the one year anniversary of Creativity Tribe’s website and marked my 500th blog post in three years.  Wowzers!  I hosted a giveaway and am excited to announce that the giveaway winners picked by random are Kelly Aubert, Ursula, and Jordan.  They each will receive a little work of art done on paper sent to me by my artist friend Deborah Weber, inspired by a giveaway that I won from Tracy Verdugo….and a copy of an art zine created by my hubby.

October Preview

October is proving to be beautifully busy when I take a peek at my schedule.  It happens to be one of my favorite months of the year so I pack lots of love into it!

One of the big deals this October is that I will be taking part in Blogtoberfest 2013.  That means a post a day every day.  Now, I am not crazy, I will be practicing lots of self-care at the same time so expect that some of those posts will be simple…but inspiring.

The end of October has a big treat for me as well.  I am headed to Austin for Paint Mojo with Tracy Verdugo.  I am pretty much in love with her painting process.  I went last year when she was in Texas and when the chance came for me to do a bit of a reunion, I jumped at it.  Tracy is a lovely woman.  I am delighted that I will get two days of hanging out with her and some paints.

Now head on over to the Telesummit and look for that special gift from me.  You will find it next to me on the speaker page.  I had a delightful time weaving it together for you!
